Joining forces for wild cats

The Dutch folk black metal band ALVENRAD has been welcomed to the Trollmusic roster with a god parenthood for wild cats by the BUND (Friends of the Earth Germany), a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-confessional federal grassroots NGO (click here for more information). “It’s a small symbolic present and it’s all about promoting an important idea”, states Trollmusic-spokesman Joakimsson. “Both ALVENRAD and we know that we’re just guests on this earth and that despite all modern trouble our life is quite privileged. Yet we all feel that much is fundamentally wrong and that we betray the wyrd world we live in. For us it’s no option to just stare at the drastic results of human ignorance reflected everyday on countless media channels – it’s up to us to do something. And something can be done if people join for a good cause. Thus we support the BUND’s program for wild cats – clearly pointing out that none of us considers himself as role model for advanced ethics. We’re just metal heads who want to make a contribution to life and the wild cat may indeed symbolize some metal aspects as well.”
Mark Kwint adds on behalf of Alvenrad that “we like to cooperate with Trollmusic in a way not just focusing on style, but sharing an overall vision to care for nature and cultivate the idea to be one of her children – like the wildcat. We banned her (Mother Nature) for too long from our so called civilized domain. Speaking about civilization; we should deepen out our ideas of our habitat. Projects like BUND’s endeavors will sharpen our thoughts about our habitat and strengthen our love for nature. Hail Mother Nature’s autonomy!”
